🌑 Today in Gaza…

More than twenty new airstrikes tore through the Strip’s night.The sky is burning, smoke covers the horizon, and the ground shakes beneath the feet of those who remain alive.

The sounds of explosions mingle with the voices of children, the screams, and the voices of mothers searching the rubble for their loved ones.These days, there is no longer such a thing as “quiet."Homes are being destroyed over their inhabitants, and hospitals are filled with the wounded who find neither medicine nor a place to stay.

The world watches in frightening silence as America gives Israel full cover to continue its bombing…Even famine has returned to Gaza.

People are searching for a morsel of bread, a sip of water, a glimmer of hope that won’t be bombed.And in the midst of all this… there is my mother. 💔She was a strong woman who filled the house with her smile despite everything.But illness had no mercy on her, and the blockade didn’t allow us to save her.

It started with a simple gallbladder ache, which could have been easily treated anywhere else in the world.But in Gaza, there are no advanced surgeries, no adequate medications, and no specialized doctors for all cases.

We couldn’t do anything…

The inflammation spread to her liver and, months later, turned into malignant cancer.

Now, my mother is getting weaker by the day. She can no longer eat, or even get out of bed sometimes.

Her face has turned pale, and her voice is barely audible as she asks, "Will I ever be cured?"I have no answer… except to ask you to be her last hope.We need to transfer her for treatment outside Gaza before it’s too late.Every day that passes means a greater risk to her life.

She is correct. They were denied clean water and medicine, kept awake, moved from place to place, starved, dehumanized, and had their bodies used to generate Israeli propaganda. They endured this terror for days. This is terrible. And this is only a glimpse of the terror that Palestinians have endured.

My friend Fadel (@fadel-danii) and his family have been denied access to clean water and starved for months. They have been forcibly displaced over and over again. They are kept awake with the sound of bombings and the insects and animals that get inside their damaged tent. He has struggled for two years to afford his medications.

While the activists detained for attempting to deliver aid are being released, Fadel and his family are trapped where they are without any assurance they will soon be somewhere safe.

Israel is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for social media posts after its image has taken a battering over the genocide in Gaza

Israel is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to American influencers to win a propaganda war after its two-year war on Palestinians in Gaza has diminished its reputation, Responsible Statecraft reported on Wednesday.

Foreign Agents Registration Act (Fara) records filed with the US Department of Justice show that Israel’s government has set aside $900,000 to pay influencers from mid-June until the end of November this year.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs pays a company called Bridges Partners LLC to manage the influencers. Israel transfers the money to Bridge Partners LLC’s via Havas Media Group in Germany, who then transfer the money across to Bridge Partners LLC.

DC-based Bridge Partners LLC said in its disclosure form that its work is intended to “assist with promoting cultural interchange between the United States and Israel”.

The form also reveals the firm is being paid to recruit 14-18 influencers to post between 25 and 30 pro-Israel posts a month across social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and Threads.

Yeah, I don’t know what Freud was thinking, but Oedipus very much did Not want to fuck his mom. He spent the entire play trying to avoid that, and then gauged out his eyes when he learned that he had anyway.

I think Freud was too caught up with the fantasy of fucking his mom to appreciate the themes of the story tbh
